When I found a coupon for this item, I said what a great this to have. I received it in a timely fashion, and could not wait to try it. A couple of days later my phone needed to be charged and i was at work. I broke out my charger and thought I was saved. Well, it worked for all of 3 minutes. After that, i went home and used brand new batteries. It worked a little better, but not to my satisfaction. I don’t endorse this product.

This is the worst charging product I have ever bought because it won’t even charge my ipod constantly it just flickers on and of every minute or so. I saw someone else has also reported this problem though they didn’t give a solution and I am using the duracell coppertops that came in the package.

We received this item for Christmas and own a Blackberry and a 3GS Iphone. Worked for both, surprisingly. Not sure how much they will charge or fill, but I feel this is perfect for a traveling person especially if out of the country. Batteries are always readily available at almost every store; however, your ability to charge is not. Also good for throwing in your briefcase and car(just not during hot months). We have purchased a few more for people we know with Iphones.

    It’s a keeper.

Like others, I found this on the cheap at my local Costco. I purchased so that I could get some extended time out of my HTC Eris when using a golf GPS app on the course. I tried it out in the office yesterday (GPS turned off) and when using fresh AA batteries, it only charges for about 35 minutes, adding just less than 15% to my cell phone charge. I was going to buy some rechargeable batteries and try it with those, but “Thank You” to the other reviewers for posting that that doesn’t work.

They were so inexpensive at Costco, it’s not worth the effort of returning them, so I’ll throw one in my wife’s purse for emergencies, and one in my coat pocket for the same.

  5. Pros: Still looking for one, I guess maybe that I only spent $16 on it. Wonder if Costco will take it back without the original packaging/receipt.

    Cons:

Does not work at all with my iPhone 3GS (which is what I bought it for)

Battery door latching mechanism so weak I felt compelled to wrap it in electrical tape.

Apparently doesn’t work with rechargeable batteries, which is inexcusable in this day and age.

Doesn’t seem to work with my Blackberry Bold.
